Frequently
Asked
Questions

What can I expect during my appointment?
If this is your first treatment at The Rosebine Clinic, your consultation will begin with a telephone call to discuss your health history, treatment goals and to answer any questions.

When you arrive for your appointment you can expect a warm welcome into a clean, well ventilated treatment space. We will have an update on your general wellbeing, treatment progress and goals, carry out assessments as necessary and then you will get comfortable on the warmed treatment table ready for hands-on treatment. Blankets are provided for your modesty and comfort.

What should I wear?
Generally speaking, you will undress down to your underwear for your treatment. You will be covered by a blanket for your modesty.
If you are coming specifically for Advanced Myofascial Bodywork I recommend wearing loose shorts over your underwear and, for the ladies, a soft style crop top/sports bra that can unclip. If possible avoid wearing a strong sports or wired bra during your treatment because it may be restrictive around your ribs.  Gents, please avoid loose boxer shorts.
I am pregnant, can I come for treatment?
Yes, Clare is experienced in working with pregnant women from their first trimester through to 40 weeks. Please let her know if you are, or think you may be, pregnant
I have Covid-19, a cold, sickness, diarrhoea or other contagious illness. Should I cancel?
Yes, please do cancel if you are unwell with a contagious illness. This is better for you because treatment will probably make you feel worse and it is important not to spread the illness.
Do you offer Sports Massage?
Our question back to you would be ‘what are you looking for?’ If you are looking for a ‘no pain – no gain’ style of treatment, then this clinic may not be for you. We will take an informed approach to your treatment, using techniques that are appropriate – it may be deep, focussed and precise, it may be powerful and flowing. If in doubt, give Clare a ring to discuss it.
Can I use my private medical insurance?
The Rosebine Clinic is not registered with any Private Health Insurers. Through my membership of Sports Massage Association you may be able to claim via your healthcare cash plan.

Healthcare cash plans are insurance policies that instead of covering for treatment of acute medical conditions, help pay for the cost of routine healthcare such as going to the dentist, opticians, physio or in some cases, sports massage.

The following private Healthcare Cash plans recognise Sports Massage Association members as providers of treatment, and consequently you may be entitled to claim back all, or part of the cost of your treatment:
Health Shield
Westfield Health
Medicash
Simply Health
How do you use my data?
You can download a copy of The Rosebine Clinic Privacy Notice below.

If you join The Rosebine Clinic WhatsApp group, your name and number are visible to others. No personal conversations take place on this WhatsApp group.
Where should I park?
You can park on the driveway or on the road-side in front of the hedge. If you park on the road, please don't block the pavement for pedestrians.
I have, or have had cancer - can I book a treatment with you?
There is a great deal of excellent work being done with massage and cancer. I have undertaken training to equip me to work with people who have cancer.  If you would like to come for treatment, please check with your GP or Consultant to establish the suitability of massage for your needs prior to booking your appointment. We would discuss your situation in a telephone consultation prior to you coming in for treatment.
What types of scar can you treat?
Scar Therapy is suitable for all scars that are fully healed and closed, 8 weeks post surgery (if applicable) or 10 weeks post radiation treatment. Older scars can also benefit from treatment.
Your scar may be the result of surgery, an accident, burn, cancer treatment or something else - if you are unsure about receiving treatment, please get in touch and let's talk it through. I'm here to help.
Do you only treat women?
No, we treat everyone equally, regardless of age, culture, beliefs, race, gender, sexuality, disability or social or economic status
How do I cancel?
For the speediest response, please send a text to 07748 050608 to request a cancellation. You can also email [email protected]. Unfortunately the online booking system does not yet provide the facility for you to cancel your own appointment. However, please do use the system to book a new appointment if required.

CANCELLATION POLICY: There is a 48 hour cancellation policy.  If you miss your appointment, or cancel with less than 48 hours notice, we reserve the right to charge 50% of appointment fee.
